Care to Learn can help pay for your childcare costs while you learn, if you're under 20

Money to help you study at college or school or go into work based learning as a trainee


Care to Learn provides financial support to you if you are a teenage parent and start a further education course before you are 20. It can be used to help fund your childcare costs and additional travel care costs up to £160.00 per week per child. To qualify you must be under 20, and on or starting some form of learning that has public funding.

In addition you must:

  • Be caring for your own child(ren) - dads are also eligible if they are the main carer 
  • Use a registered childcare provider.
